Darkness, cold, isolation, and grief turned into a field of attention.
Winter Blue I gathers one set of frames for each day spent on the Camas Prairie.
Seventeen trips between January and April under sub-zero conditions carried the work across the full season.
The work demonstrates the practice — entering difficulty deliberately, staying long enough for perception to shift, and returning with images shaped by that exposure.
